Privacy policy
This site is a showcase and a server directory. It holds no player account and asks you for neither a username nor a password.
What this site records
Strictly what it needs to work, and nothing more:
- an “aranor.lang” cookie, which remembers the language you picked. It serves no other purpose and does not track your browsing. Deleting it does not stop you using the site.
- the web server's technical logs (IP address, page requested, date), kept to diagnose outages and spot abuse, then deleted.
- whatever you write in the feedback form, if you send one (see below).
No account here
Account creation, login and your character’s progress happen entirely on the game server you choose. This site receives, stores and forwards no password and no progress data. The only e-mail address it may hold is the one you choose to write in the feedback form, and it is used only to answer you.
The game account does ask for an address
Now that password recovery is being prepared, game servers collect one e-mail address per account — optional or required depending on the server. It is used to give you back access to your account if you lose your password, and for nothing else. This site holds no copy of it: the game server keeps it, and its own privacy policy, reachable from the game, is what applies.
The feedback you send
If you fill in the feedback form, this site keeps what you wrote: the category, the rating, the message, and the optional fields you chose to fill in — hero name, server, e-mail. Your IP address is not kept as such: only a fingerprint is, to cap how many messages can be sent, and it cannot be traced back to you. This feedback is neither published nor passed to any third party.
Data from the listed servers
Each game server announces itself and sends only public information: its name, its game address, its region, its version, how many players are connected and its welcome message. No personal player data travels in those announcements.
Retention periods
The language cookie expires after one year. A server that has not announced itself for seven days disappears from the public list, and is deleted after thirty days. Feedback you send is kept for as long as it helps improve the game; you may ask for it to be deleted.
Your rights
Under Quebec's Law 25, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of any personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent. For your character's data, contact the administration of the game server concerned: they are the ones holding it.
